L O N G T A I L Brown tipped ears flicked in annoyance the the younger warriors comment before she turned a cold gaze to meet the amused amber eyes, "I'd definitely give them more wounds to remember me by. More than you ever could." she mewed smoothly, her competitive nature obvious. She moved on slowly listening to the two toms speak, her eyes widened as Howlingstar said nothing of her outburst but only gave a gentle purr at Lionclaws humorous ways. She had expected a scolding at the least for having such a rude tongue in the presence of the clan leader but it didn't seem to come, she felt satisfied that the leader seemed to feel the same anger the clan felt toward Shadowclan, confirming that a battle would be fought before he spoke. Clean claws flexed, puncturing the ground and digging up earth from anticipation of the coming battle, 'Oh those Shadowclan rats with feel the strength of Thunderclan.' she thought with excitement as her blue gaze caught sight of the border a few steps ahead. Her fur seemed to tickle in the excitement of maybe seeing or scenting a Shadowclan patrol across the border - she was hoping they'd mess up their last victory, 'They'd only one because of the death of Icestar anyway, if the battle had gone on Thunderclan would've prevailed.' she thought glancing over at the two muscular cats beside her.
"They'll regret the day they stole our land." she hissed softly aftter Howlingstar confirmed they would fight for their territory. "We're right to fight for this land, Tigerstep would be greatful for it's herbs in leafbare." she mewed looking across the border with a longing look. It wasn't that this area wasn't Longtail's favourite place at the lake, she had never been fond of it though she knew how important it was to have, and the thought that Shadowclan having something that was originally theirs - well, she simply wouldn't stand for it. "I hope Shadowclan accept their defeat." she started up at Howlingstar as she spoke, "I'm sure you've heard the stories the elders tell the kits about Riverclan and Sunningrocks from moons ago in the places where the clans began?", Longtail enjoyed the old tales of the past territories now forgotten by most warriors. It was rare for a cat to speak of the forest it was so long ago at this point, but Longtail had always had a love for the stories the elders told to kits and even as an apprentice would hide away in their den to hear the old cats recount their days as warriors serving their clans. Her tail flicked from side to side in a slow fluid motion as she turned his ice cold gaze back to the now Shadowclan territory with anger burning in her eyes. "I'll shred those rats when we meet them in battle, I swear it by Starclan I'll do all I can to get it back." she spoke with intense determination, Longtail's loyalty meant a lot to her and she wouldn't allow another failure from herself or her clan mates. She would return to camp and insist to Cherryberry that all apprentices train together with the warriors to get more strength so they could win this battle with flying colors rather than by the skin of their teeth, though it was incredibly unlikely this would happen - all she could do was try.

Lionclaw looked at his leader with a smile. Soon they would take their territory back and teach those Shadowclan cats that Thunderclan should never be challenged. His gaze slid away from his leader and longtail to the forest around them. Breathing in the scent of the forest his mind traveled to the thought of other clan cats. What were they doing right now? What plans did they have for Thunderclan? Would their strength be enough to hold them back? His long claws sunk into the earth and pulled back. He wasn't going to lie. He was starving for a battle, anything to wet his claws and fangs. He didn't know why he was so eager to always fight. It wasn't a mentality a loyal cat had to want to fight and fight and fight. He flicked his head back to his clan mates.
Listening to Longtail speak he chuckled. "Well, with the three of us so eager why don't we just charge into their camp? The way we are feeling we survive just long enough to get our fur ripped out by an entire clan." he let out a purr of amusement and butted his large shoulder playfully against Longtails shoulder. Lionclaw stepped up beside his leader, the cat he admired and deeply respected. "Howlingstar. When we get back to camp I have something private I wish to talk about if you're free." The golden warrior needed to speak to someone about this desire to hurt other cats, to hear their pain. He couldn't think of anyone he would trust with his deepest secret of bloodlust then his leader.

"I hear the wind callin' my name. The sound that leads me home again. "It sparks up the fire, a flame that still burns." To you, I will always return.
"I'd definitely give them more wounds to remember me by. More than you ever could." Longtail mewed to Lionclaw.
"Well, with the three of us so eager why don't we just charge into their camp? The way we are feeling we survive just long enough to get our fur ripped out by an entire clan." Howlingstar's amber gaze flickered from one cat to another as Lionclaw replied playfully with a chuckle. He blinked warmly as his warriors chattered excitedly to each other and to him about his words that unofficially announced his plans for the future battle with Shadowclan to come, and as he thought, they were very eager for the day to come.
From both Longtail and Lionclaw, he heard vicious comments toward Shadowclan, prophecies of the future they saw. About Lionclaw's comment right there, Howlingstar had to at least let him know, "A warrior does not need to wage his battles where his enemy's defenseless family is in danger and must be protected. We'll fight for our territory fairly, at the abandoned two-leg nest." He purred. Not only did he believe that taking the fighting away from kits and queens of all clans was the right thing to do, but the last thing he wanted was to promote the idea of attacking a rival clan's camp and threatening innocent queens and kits. Especially for the sake of Pumpkinflower and their kits back in Thunderclan. Not to mention, it was part of the Warrior Code to care for any kit in need, regardless of the clan, and threatening a camp and the kits within seemed to go against that.
"They'll regret the day they stole our land. We're right to fight for this land, Tigerstep would be greatful for it's herbs in leafbare. I hope Shadowclan accept their defeat. I'm sure you've heard the stories the elders tell the kits about Riverclan and Sunningrocks from moons ago in the places where the clans began?" Howlingstar heard Longtail hiss softly her first comment, and then he locked gazes with her when she asked him a question. He nodded, affirming that he did know that good bit of history well passed down by all the elders. Of how Thunderclan's old territory included a place called Sunningrocks where the prey was often plentiful when sometimes it wasn't elsewhere, and the bit of territory was a favorite spot to sunbathe. Uncountable battles had been fought there. "I'll shred those rats when we meet them in battle, I swear it by Starclan I'll do all I can to get it back." His gaze had traveled to a vague direction across the border, and he glanced back at Longtail when she spoke with an intense fire in her voice. Howlingstar smiled. The she-cat was a very good warrior whose heart was for Thunderclan alone.
"Thank you, Longtail. Thunderclan is blessed by Starclan to have a splendid warrior like you." Howlingstar purred to her, then turned his head to Lionclaw and added, "And you too, Lionclaw." He realized they had paused for quite a bit, and with a subtle flick of his tail for his warriors to follow his lead, he began to pad forward, skirting the border and leaving his own scent markers every couple bushes and trees. He left an even gap between markers for the rest of his patrol to fill in. The greater variety of Thunderclan markers in the border, the better. It made it stronger too.
Just then, Howlingstar heard heavy paw steps catching up to him and he paused to give Lionclaw his attention. "Howlingstar. When we get back to camp I have something private I wish to talk about if you're free." Lionclaw meowed respectfully.
Howlingstar nodded. "Of course, you can visit my den any time you like when we get back." He wondered what sort of private matter Lionclaw had to discuss. He had no clues to go off of in order to even predict whether it was a good or bad thing Lionclaw needed to talk to him about, but he was patient that he would know soon enough.

"Thank you, Longtail. Thunderclan is blessed by Starclan to have a splendid warrior like you." Longtail dipped her head in silent thanks to the compliment. She knew she was a good warrior, she was loyal, strong, fast and smart, in fact, she believed she was an excellent warrior and that's all she ever wanted to be. Longtail wasn't a boastful cat but she was well aware of her strengths and faults so she rarely showed her faults making herself appear as though she was better than she actually was. Her brown tipped tail twitched as her wide eyes turned to look at Lionclaw as her temper calmed. Her whiskers twitched in vague amusement at his comment as his should nudged into her making her sway slightly on her paws from his gesture, a purr rose at the thought of three Thunderclan warriors defeating all of Shadowclan for their territory pleased her although it was surely impossible.
The warrior watched as Lionclaw approached Howlingstar with his voice low as he spoke to him, whatever they were talking about was private but Longtail curiousity got the better of her as she swiveled her large ears forward in an attempt to listen as she walked behind the pair with eyes narrowed in concentration. 'So, Lionclaw needs to talk to Howlingstar.' she thought with concern flashing quickly over her eyes. She was fond of the large tom, she seemed to be able to have a lot of fun when he was around and she truly hoped that his problem was a small as a thorn in a paw pad. She followed behind Howlingstar as they continued their patrol, her eyes flicking around the forest in search for movement feeling as though those Shadowclan rats could be hiding at every corner, with the battle approaching Longtail felt more alive, and aware of her surroundings, slightly fearful of Shadowclan trying to steal more territory from them. "Will we be taking our land back before the Gathering, Howlingstar?" her head raised as she spoke in a confident voice.
