Aspenkit - 510 Words
It had taken little effort to accomplish what she had accomplished, she was just a little over two moons old but already was proving to be just like Creampaw. Some of the more confused elders (and even some that had all of their wits) had called her Creampaw by mistake the past few days, despite her being smaller than Creampaw ever was in the clan. She didn't mind, though. She knew just to nod and smile. She had received the best and worst parts of her sister/mother. She had the same drive to succeed as Creampaw, but also received her troublemaking side. Aspenkit seemed to be the polar opposite of her brother, Juniperkit, sometimes. Her brother was her partner in crime whether he wanted to be or not. But on this particular day she decided she needed to do this alone and left him alone in camp. Creampaw usually slept in the nursery with them, so she was probably still snuggled with her brother for a nap. Her mama kept them warm. She had heard the whispers that her mother was really her sister, but she didn't believe that at all. She looked just like her mama and she was told she acted just like her, so surely Creampaw was her mother. Which leads us to the point she was at now. While Creampaw and Juniperkit had been sleeping, rather than take a nap she decided to go exploring. Aspenkit was starting to be known for getting out of camp, but she never made it too far, Creampaw was usually right behind her. But this time she was about to escape alone! Did she have a clue where she was going? Absolutely not. But that didn't stop the little kit from having her head held high and traveling wherever her little legs would carry her. The little cream furred kit had blue eyes sparkling with mischief as she traveled. When she finally stopped and looked around she noticed camp wasn't anywhere in sight. She was still too young to understand how to distinguish scents (really the only ones she knew were her mother and brother), so in a way she was lost. But she wasn't scared yet, she was too excited to be scared. She did, however, see this awesome hiding spot. The huge foxhole was perfect for a game of hide and seek. Maybe one day she could bring Juniperkit here. But right now, she could play and have fun. Who knew how long she could actually be out here without being discovered, she wanted to make the most of the time that she had and use it to her advantage. Was she tired from not taking a nap? Yes, would she show it? No, she was too stubborn for that...another trait she inherited from her mother. Grabbing a few leaves, she created herself a new game and began to pounce around, mewling at the leaves as menacingly as she possibly could as if they were enemies trying to attack the foxhole.

The silver and white fluffy tom was coming back from hunting. He had caught a squirrel by the border and a thinner looking rabbit. Even with both pieces of prey in his mouth, he caught a scent that was peculiar. Dropping the rabbit and squirrel, Cloudfang took a few steps away and lifted his head. He breathed through his mouth, trying to pinpoint where it was. The wind was sending the scent toward him and he followed it. After a moment he placed it and he moved toward it.
When he got close, he heard the ruffling and crunching of leaves. He caught sight of Aspenkit through the grass and crouched down. Cloudfang slowly slipped quietly toward the kit, a smile upon his maw. He watched her for a few moments and then crept up closer, being sure to keep the wind coming toward him, rather than toward the kit. He got close to her and then spoke. What are you doing? Cloudfang asked, laying down with a smile at the small kit.

Aspenkit - 294 Words
Aspenkit was playing so hard and having so much fun, she wasn't concerned with looking around or even noticing what was going on around her. Enemies could be nearby and she wouldn't know. Which is why when pawsteps approached, quiet as they were, they could have been extremely loud and she still wouldn't stop playing or doing her fun game. So when Cloudfang appeared out of nowhere, it caused little Aspenkit to jump in fear. Would she admit that she jumped, or that she was scared later on? No way! She was a big bad kit and nothing scared her. She recognized the tom as one that was in the clan she was in (since she was hardly ever inside the nursery and liked to chase after the warriors anyway) and she grinned up at him. Now that the initial shock had worn off, she looked up and pointed with her tail to the 'battlefield' she had created with leaves and rocks. "I'm playing battle cause Mama and Brother are boring and go to sleep, you wanna play? You can be team rockness. I wanna be team leafywind." Aspenkit didn't really give a choice in the matter, and started to gather the two objects up so Cloudfang could play. The kit still had zero idea who the tom was, but she acted as if she were in the camp just playing like normal, not out in the territory. She hoped her memory was right and that this tom was part of the same clan, if not she would have some explaining to her Mama later. But at least she had a playmate that wasn't her brother, willing or not willing to play.

Cloudfang tilted his head slightly, purring. He chuckled at her and was about to say they should go back to camp, when Aspenkit started to gather stones and leaves. The silver and white tom chuckled again and settled into the spot of "team rockness." He figured that he would let her play a little since they weren't too far from the camp. The long furred warrior would just let the kit wear herself out, then take her back to camp. "Okay, little one." He purred.
Making sure to stay alert for any predators, he watched the kit in silence, letting her boss him around. He loved kits, all the hope they gave for the clan, and how innocent they were. He wished to have a family of his own, but playing with the kits now would have to do. Cloudfang waited for Aspenkit to tell him what to do. If she didn't get tired out quickly, he might have to take her back to camp before anyone finds out she's gone gets really worried about her.

Aspenkit - 374 Words
Aspenkit liked her new friend, and he was actually real and not made up this time! She couldn't wait to tell mama and brother that she had made a real friend, and played with a real cat! They probably wouldn't believe her and say she needed to just go back to sleep or something. But she wasn't really lying! And this cat was willing to play with her and wasn't just brushing her off or telling her to get away. She was beyond excited and her little paws were bouncing and barely touching the ground. Little mewls were escaping her mouth in delight. She gasped as she heard her new friend call her by the same nickname her mama did. "My Mama calls me that!" Aspenkit exclaimed grinning wide once again. How did he know, did Mama tell him? "Did Mama tell you?" she questioned, her head tilting to the side in confusion. Another gasp could be heard when she realized she had forgotten something. It was another rock, but a little larger than the rest. Grabbing it and putting it on top, she pointed at it with her tail. "That the big kit rock. It bosses everyone else." she mewed, making sure Cloudfang understood. Aspenkit began to explain the game, but being a young kit half of what she was saying made zero sense. It was a game that came from her mind, so there was no telling where it came from. "You gotta get your team to move firstest. But you can't move them. See watch me!" she got into position and stared at her pile of leaves, as if willing them to move. When a gust of wind blew the first one off the pile she pointed with her tail. "See! It goes poof if you look hard!" She began to watch again and stared at the leaf pile, waiting for it to move again. Her bright eyes were starting to close, but she quickly blinked them open. The little kit was highly sleepy but she wasn't about to fall asleep now! She needed to play, the two sides needed her to play the game.

The silver tabby and white warrior chuckled. Since he didn't have a mate, he didn't frequent the nursery that often, so it made sense that little Aspenkit didn't recognize him. He was going to answer, but figured that with how excited the kit was, she bounced from one thought to the next quite quickly. Most likely the cream tabby she-kit wouldn't even notice that he didn't answer some of her questions.
Aspenkit then continued on explaining the game to him. "That the big kit rock. It bosses everyone else." The kit said and the tom nodded, showing he understood, even though he actually didn't quite understand. The little cream kit continued on with her explanation and he followed to the best of his abilities. "You gotta get your team to move firstest. But you can't move them. See watch me!" He did watch, his tail curled around his paws. A gust of wind moved some of the leaves. "See! It goes poof if you look hard!" He mrrowed quietly with laughter, purring. It seemed that Aspenkit didn't realize that the wind was making the leaves move, not her sheer willpower.
Cloudfang chuckled slightly, his sky blue eyes sparkling as he crouched down to do the same. As he started at the pile of rocks, senses staying alert for any intruder, he thought about what he could do to get the rocks to move without touching them. The silver tom had a thought, and with the tabby and white paw hidden from Aspenkit's view, he lifted his paw up and smacked it back down on her ground. There was hardly any sound, but it did make the rocks vibrate some. Cloudfang glanced toward the she-kit in time to see her eyes starting to close, but then she jerked them wide awake. He figured it wouldn't be too much longer before Aspenkit fell asleep and he could take her back to camp.

Aspenkit - 377 Words Tags: Cloudfang [Minteh Freshness] Notes: Mind being blown = Mind blown. XDD Aspenkit had been told multiple times that her imagination was wild. No one ever knew what to expect from the little kit. She was highly creative, especially in her way of thinking. It would be quite interesting to see how much more her personality could develop, after all she was just a couple moons old. Who knows what she would be like as an apprentice. And the tom was right, half of the time her questions would just rattle from her brain and her short attention span would forget the question halfway through sometimes. So him not answering some questions, would definitely go unnoticed by her.
Her new playmate was awesome, he seemed to understand her games and not walk off! He actually was listening to her. Usually others would be tired of her by now, and to stick around was huge. Maybe now she had a new playmate from now on. By just talking to her, Cloudfang had become part of her life whether he wanted to or not. Usually she stalked toms for one reason, but now having a new friend was a new reason. This would be another cat to need to watch their paws as they left.
The team Aspenkit had given Cloudfang was a team she always had trouble with. She had thought that since he was bigger and a warrior, he might could figure it out. Her kit brain wasn't quite advanced enough to move the rocks just yet. She would have to be at least an apprentice. She was still looking at the remains of her team. It looked like half of her team had been blown away by her awesome mind. When she looked at Cloudfang again, she saw that team rock was moving! Her gasp was loud and her eyes were sparkling bright. He did it! He made them move. "You made it move! But now you gotsta make it fall. You are the bestest warrior ever! You have to show me how to do that! I wanna be a big warrior too!" Aspenkit was bouncing up and down on her paws, clearly excited about the whole ordeal. The bouncing was having a higher level of effect on her sleepyness also.

The white and silver tabby tom chuckled. "Ah, but it is a secret. I might be able to let you in on it when you are older. But for now, I think team leafywind needs you." He said with a purr. Maybe if he got her to use up even more energy, she would quickly fall asleep. He hoped anyway. Because if she didn't, Creampaw would have his head for not getting Aspenkit back to her before she woke up. Cloudfang nodded toward her team so he would get her to focus on the game again. His ears perked and for a moment, he thought he heard something. His sky blue eyes looked around them, his ears straining to hear any sort of sound. After a moment he heard it again and realized it was just a field mouse, not a cat. He let out a quiet, grateful sigh, not even noticing he had been holding his breath. The tom looked at Aspenkit again and smiled, though his senses kept watch for him as he watched the young kit. Muse || Not that great Words || 180 Tagged || dylan as Aspenkit

Aspenkit - 359 Words Tags: Cloudfang [Minteh Freshness] Notes: There might be something wrong with me..... Aspenkit was still staring at the pile of rocks in awe. Her bright blue eyes blinked up at Cloudfang as he spoke. ”But I wanna know now. Everyone tells me the same thing!” she huffed, upset that she couldn’t learn the secret now. ”I’m almost three whole moons! That’s plenty old enough. All cats tell me when I ask is ‘Aspenkit don’t worry about it till you are older’. Waiting is hard.” the kit added.
She had almost completely forgotten about her own team until Cloudfang gave her the reminder. ”Oh yeah! They can’t need me. I gotta be their leader and make sure they don’t get left out!” Aspenkit was talking more to herself now as she stopped the bouncing and went back to her pile and began to stare in concentration. She tried her best to sit still, but her tail was moving in excitement. She knew that no part of her body could be moving if she didn’t want to let her team down.
Glaring at her own tail, she growled at it, trying to get it to stop. When it only began to twitch more, she let out another huff in frustration and began to try and chase it to get it to stop. ”Come back here! You need to stop so we can make team leafywind complete!” As she was chasing her tail, it knocked the rest of the leaves over and that got the kit to stop. Her game was over, her own tail had won. She frowned and glared at her tail, clearly upset that it had beat her again. This had begun an argument, and Aspenkit was arguing with her tail, telling it that it was being no fair and needs to stop being mean.
Turning back to Cloudfang she sighed. ”My tail beat me again. I didn’t think it would win again.” But suddenly her eyes brightened up as she thought of something. ”Will you tell me now? I’m older than I was a little bit ago, and you said you would tell me when I am older.” Aspenkit smirked, trying to win him over with a sly grin.

Sky blue eyes smiled at bright blue ones. ”But I wanna know now. Everyone tells me the same thing! I’m almost three whole moons! That’s plenty old enough. All cats tell me when I ask is ‘Aspenkit don’t worry about it till you are older’. Waiting is hard.” Cloudfang chuckled when she huffed. "Ah, but patience will make you into a fine warrior someday. Maybe I'll tell you when you are a warrior. But in the meantime, try to get them to move by yourself." The silver and white warrior purred as the young kit moved her focus elsewhere. She didn't always make sense, but he could figure out most of what she said. Cloudfang smiled softly when Aspenkit started to get angry at her own tail. It had kept moving and when she glared and growled at it, it just started to twitch even more. ”Come back here! You need to stop so we can make team leafywind complete!” He mrrowed in quiet laughter as she started to chase and yell at her own tail. He watched as she stopped and started to argue with her tail. Aspenkit sighed and then turned back toward the furry tom. ”My tail beat me again. I didn’t think it would win again.” He smiled when her eyes brightened up again. ”Will you tell me now? I’m older than I was a little bit ago, and you said you would tell me when I am older.” He had to give her credit, she was smart. And cute when she tried to grin slyly. Cloudfang chuckled. "Sorry little one, but as I said, maybe when you are a warrior. But maybe if you are really good, I might tell you before then. Say when you are a whole 10 moons old?" He joked and then nuzzled her.
