Lionclaw sighed as he walked into camp after a long walk to clear his head amd think of what he had to say. The golden tom felt that weight on him again. His dark dreams of battle and blood, the satisfaction of his claws sinking into another cats fur and flesh. The hot gush of coppery blood filling his mouth. He had tried to convince himself he was defending his clan and fighting for Thunderclan but it wasn't true. He fought because of the feeling it gave him, a sharper sense of the world and the power he felt in his body when he fought with all his strength. But it was a terrible joy that flowed into him. A happiness at the pain of his enemies for his own satisfaction. He needed help but what herb could make this feeling go away? He was afraid that his lust for battle would do more harm to his clan then it would his enemies. So for help he turned to the only cat he trusted with his darkest secrets.
Heavy paws walked to the leaders den. He could scent that Howlingstar was alone without his mate. Pushing in he looked at his leader with a bowed head. "Howlingstar, I need to speak ro you." the golden sat down. He had to get this out before anyone else came by and for the good of his clan from him he had to be heard. "Howlingstar, I respect and admire you more then I do any other cat in the clans. I need help. I....I think I'm sick. I have dreams of hunting down cats and tearing into them. When I'm out or alone all I can think of is the joy of battle, the pleasure I get when I hurt another cat. It's not for the clan that I fight or have these feelings. It's for myself. I love fighting more then anything. I think of ways all the time to get into fights and sometimes I can't control my urges. I prowl the borders waiting for an opportunity. I'm scared of what I want to do and...I need your advice." Lionclaw sighed and lowered his head waiting for his leaders diagnosis.

"I hear the wind callin' my name. The sound that leads me home again. "It sparks up the fire, a flame that still burns." To you, I will always return.
Howlingstar sat down in his humongous soft nest, nibbling on a squirrel between his large paws. All apprentices or warriors whose chore it was to get new moss to make the clan's nests knew that Howlingstar's nest had to be almost three times the size of a usual cat's bed. He continued nom, nom, noming away at his prey, savoring the many different juices mixed with the animal's fresh blood, as tiny bones snapped sharply between his powerful jaws. It had been his own son, Emberstrike, who had brought him this delicious snack from the young warrior's hunting patrol. After only a few more moments of crunching and nibbling, Howlingstar had eaten every last scrap of the squirrel, even the bushy tail. Usually most cats could expect an unpleasant hairball later after daring to eat a squirrel's tail, but Howlingstar found he could somehow stomach it, and he'd rather not waste any of Emberstrike's gift.
He heard outside of his den heavy paw steps approaching, and perked his large, pointed wolf-like ears. Was it Emberstrike again? No, the scent was not that of his son's. Then it must be.... Lionclaw pushed his way into the entrance of Howlingstar's den, blocking out all the daylight and casting sunless shadows on the both of them. Howlingstar sat up in a sitting position to nod his head in greeting. "Howlingstar, I need to speak with you." The young, but large golden warrior meowed with a bowed head of respect. Howlingstar decided to let it slide that Lionclaw hadn't called out a customary greeting before entering his den, since Lionclaw appeared to be very troubled. "Howlingstar, I respect and admire you more than I do any other cat in the clans. I need help. I...I think I'm sick." Howlingstar listened to Lionclaw's entire confession with an unchanging expression of neutrality, though he had nodded gratefully at Lionclaw's declaration that he was the cat most respected by the golden warrior.
When Lionclaw had finished, Howlingstar let the silence stand for a moment as he thought about it to himself. He always knew that Lionclaw was an excellent, almost legendary fighter among the clans. Probably close to one of the most ferocious warriors he had met. He had no idea that Lionclaw was also being troubled with a new struggle that seemed to claw anxiously at his heart. At last, he came to a conclusion as he kneaded the ground with his large light brown paws. "Lionclaw, I have faith in you. You are a loyal warrior, and I couldn't possibly ask for more. I think this is a battle you must--and are the only one that can--fight yourself, in order to defeat the demons within you. Just always know that Starclan and all of Thunderclan stand by your side in support." Howlingstar purred warmly, his amber eyes glowing even in the dim light. "Also, you can always speak to Tigerstep and ask him to speak to Starclan on your behalf next time he visits the Moonpool. Maybe he can deliver you a message of guidance from Starclan, or offer your more spiritual guidance himself." He suggested.

Lionclaw looked at his leader and nodded, he admitted he was hoping for a miracle cure but Howlingstar was right and this beast in his heart had to be defeated by him alone. He smiled and felt a warm glow flow through Him at his leaders praise. Talking to Tigerstep was probably a great idea but he wanted it to run by his leader first. "Thank you Howlingstar. I will go ask Tigerstep for his advice as well. Maybe starclan can help me in this matter. I just hope I never let this beast endanger our clan. Thank you for your time." the golden warrior stood up and nodded gratefully at his leader. He would have to crush this demon inside him and keep it from hurting others. Stepping back he lowered his head in respect to his leader and stepped out. Taking a deep breath he admitted that he did feel better. He now had his clans backing and a new direction.
His gaze turned to the Medicine den and figured the present was the best time to solve an issue. Walking over he took a deep breath and pushed his way inside.
