Lionclaw went quiet as he began thinking on the best course of action. His calm demeanor was one of his most dangerous attributes. He was an icy lake holding a ferocious beast deep within its watery depths. His tail flicked at his apprentices words for her to stay quiet. His gaze looked over as leopardheart ran across with zero care to the warrior code. This too he processed and weighed. He ignored Yellowivy's threats and snappy attitude. He didn't care for those kind of actions and it was best ignored. He licked his sharp teeth but remembered what his clan leader had told him in their private meeting. His mind made up finally he unsheathed his long thick claws. "Yellowivy, your warrior crossed into our territory at a time when tensions are highest. I wish I could simply release her but the warrior code has been broken. Twice actually but leopardheart acted out of family loyalty and this I can respect. Take Him home but Mintfeather will be brought to Howlingstar for judgment. I'm sure Tigerstep will handle her wounds."
His forest green eyes sharpened as he looked at the deputy. "You have my word she will be attended to. Now stay on your side of the border or I will be forced to attack." he stood up and towered over the deputy. Turning to look at Leopardheart. "Your sister will be treated for injuries you have my word. Now, get on your side before I change my mind." he walked over and looked at Emberstrike. "You caught her...and this mess Emberstrike. I need you thinking more with your head and less with your claws. Until this matter is settled she is your responsibility. I'll talk to Howlingstar about it." inside under his cool demeanor he was seething at the events. They had enough trouble with Shadowclan without extra problems from Windclan. He looked down at his apprentice for a long moment. "And you! There is a time to talk and a time to listen. A situation like this is the latter." He turned around and looked at Yellowivy with a emotionless smile.
His claws ripped the ground and his tail tip flicked back and forth. "Yellowivy, you're still here. Leave! " he snarled out as his muscles bunched under his golden coat. He wanted this to be Shadowclan. At least if it was Howlingstar would understand him leaping onto these cats and tearing them apart. "Mintfeather, we will see to your injuries." his gaze staid locked with Yellowivy, leaving how this situation would go from here on out to her.

Yellowivy just stood on Windclan side of the border. She wasn't breaking the warrior code, but Lionclaw seemed to think that she had. She just flicked her tail her pale green gaze cold and calculating. Her brain was taking in the whole situation. She could tell by the large warrior that he was trying to be a good warrior but he seemed to be too naive. Too loyal. She would deal with Mintfeather and she wanted to. Thats when she noticed that Leapordheart just streaked out towards the white Windclan warrior. His hackles raised. She just then turned and snapped at him her voice loud and demanding. "Leapordheart, get back on to Windclan territory right now and let me handle this." Her pale green eyes were locked on to her warrior and she just waited for him to cross back over and then she looked back at Lionclaw.
Now the large warrior was standing at his full height right over her. She just looked up at him her gaze still hard and cold. He wasn't intimidating her anytime soon, she flicked her tail slightly and then just shook her head no. He wasn't going to take Mintfeather back to Thunderclan camp alone. If anything Yellowivy was going to go herself. She wasn't going to let her warrior defend for themselves when clear Lionclaw was over reacting about the whole situation. It just showed how a young warriors were almost a worse problem than apprentices. She just then blinked her green eyes and just stood there. She just watched as the large warrior ordered his warriors. She just then didn't move. She wasn't going any where but she was still on Windclan's side of the border. She just then watched as the large warrior whipped around on her. She just then smirked slightly at him. He was losing his cool, his demeanor.
"No Lionclaw. I am on Windclan's side of the border. You can't order me around or tell me what I do on my own territory. I think that your apprentice gets the disrespect from you." She just then growled and said, "Now, Mintfeather is not going to Howlingstar. And if she is your taking me as well Lionclaw. Im not letting my warrior fend for herself with Thunderclan." She just then flicked her tail towards her warrior. She could tell that the she-cat was nervous and scared, she clearly had learned her lesson. "Look at her Lionclaw. She has some good scratches clearly she knows what she did. And by the look on her face she won't be crossing the border anymore. Will you Mintfeather? She locked her pale green eyes on her warrior and waited for the she-cat to answer before she continued on with her speech. "I understand that tensions are high in Thunderclan right now. But Windclan is not a threat to Thunderclan. All I want it peace Lionclaw, and your making it quite difficult to do so. You can keep the rabbit that Mintfeather caught because it is Thunderclan's prey now." Then she padded along the border not crossing it. She looked back at her warrior her eyes seeming to say. This isn't going as well as I thought be prepared to fight if you have to." Then she flicked her ears and looked back at the Thunderclan warriors her brain organizing everything that was going on.

Leopardhearts broad frame stood firm as he glared at the Thunderclan apprentice, "Maybe you should listen to your friend and go back to your side of the border, Leopardheart." he let out a hiss. The large tom's calm and gentle personality muted by the injuries that marked his clanmates pelt, the kits harsh tone was one that made the warriors blood boil. His ears flicked backwards as the calm voice of Yellowivy was registered in his mind, "Leapordheart, get back on to Windclan territory right now and let me handle this.". The warrior couldn't disobey a direct order from his deputy and he turned his head, dipping his head at Yellowivy in acceptance toward her order before walking toward her back over the border. "My apologies, Yellowivy. It wasn't my intention to loose my temper." his voice was low so only she could hear.
Then there was word from Lionclaw that the Thunderclan medicine cat would care for their warrior, it was unheard of. The tom before him was similar in age to Leopardheart but he planned things out as though he were a foolish kit, that he could just take one of their warriors with only words and no battle to be fought. Leopardheart let out a furious hiss until the warrior seemed to turn on his own clanmates, only moments before Leopardheart had witnessed the golden warrior praise Emberstrike for his attack on Mintfeather, and then quickly snapping at his own apprentice in front of the enemy clan ; not that Leopardheart thought she should get away with her sharp tongue, he snorted in response as the apprentice's expression completely changed at the harsh tone. His tail lashed, he was well aware at how tense Thunderclan had been lately after loosing their territory to Shadowclan and although he was tom who disliked the battles fought by the clan, his gaze moved to Mintfeather who was still trapped beneath the powerful claws of Emberstrike. "Yellowivy, you're still here. Leave! " the violent tone made his eyes switch back to Lionclaw who looked furious, the muscles clear through his thick coat and part of Leopardheart was happy he wasn't having a head to head battle with the tom.
The Windclan warrior flattened his ears and took a step back, he knew Yellowivy would handle the situation but he couldn't help feel the anger that pulsed through his body as the warrior disrepected the deputy on his clan. Few cats had the guts to yell at the high ranking cats, and Leopardheart definitely didn't respect this trait, he found his rude and unnecessary as his tail flicked and Yellowivy spoke in her calm voice. He admired her, the whole time she had kept her composure, never shown how irritated she probably was by Mintfeather being hurt and his own disobedience in crossing the border - she dealt with the situation with a level head and Leopardheart truly respected her for it, now knowing how suited she was for the role of leader if the oppurtunity ever came around to her. "No clan has ever taken an injured cat from a border battle to the opposing clans medicine cat, I understand things are tense, but that just seems ridiculous." he muttered quietly so that only his clan mates could hear on their side of the border, his temper dulled by the oncoming conclusion to this border argument.

Mintfeather really wasn't very big, so with having Emberstrike, a large tom, holding her down with his weight, it made her chest be pushed into the ground, hard. This, in turn, made it quite hard to breathe and it didn't help that her throat was bruised. Even with the young Thunderclan warrior's weight on her and the deep scratches on her pelt, the thing that hurt most was her left front leg. She still wasn't sure if it was broken or dislocated yet but any tiny shift from the ginger tom on top of her, sent white hot streaks of pain throughout her entire body. The silvery spotted and striped she-cat had to bite her tongue and shove her muzzle into the ground to keep from screeching. It was probably broken from how much it hurt. Pale green eyes watered and with every shooting pain, her ears rang, making her miss out of some of what was being said, though she did catch most of it. ...Take him home but Mintfeather will be brought to Howlingstar for judgment. I'm sure Tigerstep will handle her wounds." This sentence was spoken by Lionclaw and it made her tense with fear. She didn't want to go to Thunderclan's camp alone. Even though Tigerstep seemed like a nice cat and was a medicine cat, but she didn't trust Thunderclan. She wanted to go home with her clan and be taken care of by her medicine cat and family. ~ Cloudfang dug his claws into the grass beneath him as his blue eyes stayed on his sister. He knew her too well, so he recognized all the signs of her hurting and trying to hide it. He wanted to cross the border and cuff Emberstrike over the head like one would do to an apprentice, but he knew it wouldn't end well. If anything, it would just make this whole ordeal even worse. The silver tabby and white tom knew that Mintfeather had broken the warrior code but he also knew she regretted it greatly and that it was a mistake seeing as how she was only a tail-length over the Border. The Thunderclan cats seemed to act like she had damaged all over their territory and killed and taken all their prey! Of course everyone knew that Thunderclan was tense after looking territory but this was overdoing things. ~ The wounded she-cat came back from her thoughts as she heard Lionclaw snarl loudly. For a moment Mintfeather was scared the golden tom would attack her Deputy. Even with his long fur, she could see his muscles bunching up. "Mintfeather, we will see to your injuries." If the large tom hadn't of spoken her name, she might not of realized he was talking to her since his gaze was still boring into Yellowivy. Mintfeather was so happy to see the other she-cat shake her head no to all of this. Of course Yellowivy wouldn't want a hurt Windclan warrior being taken to another clan's camp. The silver she-cat winced on the inside. The deputy wouldn't want that because she would want to deal with her own warriors herself. When said deputy started to speak, she perked up to listen. Hopefully focusing on what was going on before her would dull the pain a little. Doubtful but it was worth a try. "Now, Mintfeather is not going to Howlingstar. And if she is your taking me as well Lionclaw. I'm not letting my warrior fend for herself with Thunderclan."The young warrior tried to look grateful but it was hard with a humongous tom built with a lot of muscle standing on top of her. She moved her gaze between the two patrols and became increasingly frightened. If they came to a fight, she wasn't so sure they could win. Even with Yellowivy and Cloudfang, who she knew could both be quite ferocious in a fight, they were greatly outnumbered with her probably having to sit out and a young, albeit large, warrior such as Leopardheart. He was a kinder cat, not a fighter. With that against a warrior, two large toms, even being young, with an apprentice. Mintfeather closed her eyes, taking account of all that hurt, though it was slightly hard without moving. If it came down to a battle, she would fight no matter what. It took a moment but she realized someone had addressed her. Mintfeather blinked open her silvery green eyes and looked at Yellowivy. She took a few seconds to try to remember what had been said but then she found it from her subconscious. "Of course not Yellowivy." She mewed, trying to keep her voice from being strained and failing miserably. The snow Bengal warrior tried to portray her apology into her voice, for both her Deputy and the Thunderclan patrol. ~ Cloudfang caught the glance from Yellowivy, This isn't going as well as I thought be prepared to fight if you have to., and his eyes hardened to blue chips of ice. He understood. He already was ready to fight if it meant getting his sister back. He turned his gaze back to Mintfeather and realized she hadn't seen the look. He gave her a similar look, telling her they would fight to get her back if they had to. He knew she understood the look when her gaze hardened a little. The silver tom hoped she would let them handle it if they did start to fight, but he knew her well enough to know she wouldn't let them face against the Thunderclan patrol by themselves, no matter how hurt she was. "If we hold on together," I know our dreams will never die. "Dreams see us through to forever," where clouds roll by for you and I.
Emberstrike could hear his prisoner's weak breaths below him. He realized Mintfeather was probably too exhausted to struggle anymore, and his aggression at pinning down the Windclan she-cat had blinded him to the recent fact that she was no longer resisting at all. He still could not calm the light of battle in his heart, for the scent of Windclan set his hackles on end and a burning ferocity in his mind. When Yellowivy ordered her warrior back on their side of the border, Emberstrike's amber eyes bored into the spotted warrior every step of the way. As Leopardheart crossed the border, Emberstrike felt a small pang of regret for not getting a swipe at his dotty lean hide for crossing in the first place.
His claws still gripped the unresisting prisoner's bleeding shoulders, feeling arrogantly honor bound to be the hostage keeper for Lionclaw. Lionclaw was the leader of this patrol, and whatever Lionclaw ordered today was law to him unless it broke the warrior code. The tiny conscious in the back of his mind whispered that it was rather unusual for clans to take prisoners of cats who trespassed or stole prey, but his admiration for Lionclaw, and the thrill of battle made him believe that no matter what, Thunderclan must have their way in this conflict. Baring his fangs at Yellowivy, Emberstrike growled, "You're not gonna get away with a little peace talk and an apology for breaking the warrior code and hunting on Thunderclan's territory!" As he made his threat, he leaned further over Mintfeather, emphasizing that he would be ready to fight to keep his prisoner from Windclan.

"And you! There is a time to talk and a time to listen. A situation like this is the latter." The small she-cats ears flattened against her head as Lionclaw turned on her with his voice in a low hiss as he scolded her for what, she didn't know, but he was snapping at Emberstrike too. Fury burned through her, she was going back on his words of congratulations for Emberstrike and actually scolded him for catching Mintfeather. Spottedpaw couldn't deny that maybe Emberstrike had been a little bit too rough with his technique, but it did not mean that Emberstrike needed to be reprimanded for protecting the territory that has been disrespected by other clans ; mainly Shadowclan, too many times. The speckled cats tail lashed back and forth as she thought over the golden toms harsh words before responding, maybe she had been rude to Windclan, but they had trespassed and were disobeying the warrior code by hunting on their land, even if it was a Windclan rabbit, and now with Leopardheart standing confidently across the border line - her temper was on the verge of bursting. She wanted to know why Lionclaw didn't order them to attack him, the spotted tom would be outmatched and with Mintfeather injured and only three cats against four, they'd have no chance for success.
"Don't start giving out to us because you're getting nervous, Emberstrike did well to stop her, you congratulated him yourself and now you're saying this situation is because of him? No. It's not his fault. It's this she-cats," the apprentice gestured Mintfeather with her tail, hissing quietly at her mentor, which was incredibly unlike the she-cat. "The warrior code insists that the borders be respected, she has broken it. Emberstrike delivered punishment. We lost too much to Shadowclan, Windclan won't ever have a chance to think we've been weakened because of him. If you're going to scold your warriors on the battlefield then you don't deserve to lead a patrol. You make us look messy and weak by doing so." she hissed, she sounded as though she was a warrior, nearing her time for her warrior ceremony the tortoiseshell cat was showing her knowledge of battles after moons of training under the golden warrior. Maybe she had been too harsh, but no other cat present could hear her talk except for the Thunderclan cats and Mintfeather who remained trapped beneath Emberstrikes paws. Spottedpaws usual optimism was replaced with the logical thoughts of a warrior, she needed to prove to Lionclaw that she was growing up, and would soon be his equal and although she respected him completely she needed him to know that she was not the cat to cower to the leader because he was getting nervous and wanted to yell.
That was how she saw it, she believed Lionclaw was getting nervous with the encounter with the Windclan deputy. She kept a cool voice, and thought logically. She was higher in the ranks than Lionclaw was and was probably more skilled, being a deputy took more than age and popularity within the clan, it took skill. Spottedpaw only knew this because she saw this skill everyday when Cherryberry of Thunderclan hunted or patrolled with her, Lionclaw was still young - older than her by many moons but she knew he lacked the experience of leading a patrol; afterall, this was his first patrol and she was his first apprentice, he was expected to make mistakess. The small she-cat turned away from him - ignoring whatever response he offered her, she would obey his orders - she had spoken out of turn and she agreed that she was in the wrong prior to him snapping, but his loud display made her feel like a fool. Spottedpaw walked a few steps until she was closer to Emberstrike than she was Lionclaw, she glared with cold green eyes at Leopardheart until Yellowivy requested he return to their side of the border. "Good choice." she thought as she watched the large tom move slowly toward the border until he was at his rightful place. In the short moment of silence Spottedpaw glanced down at Mintfeather who was clearly in pain beneath Emberstrikes powerful grip, and part of her began to feel guilty - the Windclan warrior had clearly not meant to cross the border, the Thunderclan patrol watched as she crossed the border unaware and her tail now twitched nervously, she knew Howlingstar would not be pleased when this patrol returned.
"Emberstrike loosen your grip again, she isn't going anywhere, look at her." she whispered softly to the large tom dropping her head slightly so nobody could see her speak. "Yellowivy, you're still here. Leave!", Spottedpaws head snapped around to look at Lionclaw, a frown forming on her face before she rolled her eyes and returned her gaze to the Windclan deputy. Any fool would know that the she-cat wouldn't be leaving until Mintfeather was returned to them. "Mintfeather, we will see to your injuries.", Spottedpaw wanted to run away an hide at this. She had no idea what was going through Lionclaws head in that moment, sure she had been mad at him but to take an enemy warrior for judgment from Howlingstar was not only pointless as he would just warn her and send her back to her clan, and it would also waste the precious time he had planning and preparing for Shadowclan. Her tail lashed, she wanted to hiss at the tomcat more at his plan that she saw as ridiculous, but she wouldn't risk completely disobeying him, she was bound by loyalty to Thunderclan to follow his orders even if they were something she disagreed with. That was until Yellowivy responded calmly voicing the concerns of most cats who would find Lionclaws plan weird.
"I understand that tensions are high in Thunderclan right now. But Windclan is not a threat to Thunderclan. All I want it peace Lionclaw, and your making it quite difficult to do so. You can keep the rabbit that Mintfeather caught because it is Thunderclan's prey now." Spottedpaw felt so much respect toward her, she was an enemy of course, but she handle the situation so well that Spottedpaw someday wanted to be able to keep that same composure during a heated moment. She waited for Lionclaws orders, and began to assess the Windclan warriors closely. Yellowivy, although trying to keep the peace in the moment looked as though she would not hesitate to fight back, Cloudfang a silver and white tom who looked displeased and would certainly fight with his emotions with the urge to protect his sibling, while Leopardheart was as tall as the cats in Thunderclan but didn't look nearly as muscular as the Thunderclan cats of similar size. The Windclan cats would probably be faster than them during the battle so she would need to be light on her paws as though she were hunting a mouse in the forest. She steadied herself on her four paws in preparation, she absolutely wanted to fight for the first time here - not only would it be great practice for the future battle with Shadowclan but it would give her experience she would surely need. But part of her did not want trouble with the Windclan cats, the carefree cat she was in the Thunderclan camp surrounded by her friends wanted to shrug it all off and say it was find, but she was not in control, and it would make Thunderclan come off as weak especially after loosing a large battle. She watched nervously as conflicted thoughts raged through her mind, although she was angry at the patrol leader, she would obey his command no matter what.

Lionclaw looked at the Windclan cats, his bloodlust was boiling like a volcano in his veins. He never wanted to talk and be diplomatic, he wanted battle and blood, claw and fur. But he couldn't become the monster raging in his heart. The words of his own apprentice stung because she was right. He was nervous about this whole thing. How Howlingstar would react to his handling of the situation, the leader was better suited to diplomacy, he was the claws to his leaders words. His gaze flicked to his apprentice. She was the main reason he was holding back, her words however reminded him that she was no longer that little kit he had promised to teach. She was eager for her first battle. Lionclaw gave a visible shake of his body throwing away the diplomacy he had tried to adopt. Green eyes shifted and stared at the Windclan deputy with a cold gaze. "Emberstrike, loosen up a little on her. I can smell her wounds from here." he refocused on Yellowivy and shook his head. "Take the rabbit, Howlingstar will most likely send your warrior home anyway. So she will return, not like we are gonna kill her."
He planted a large paw right on the border on his side. "She stays with us, you want a fight over it then so be it. I'm right here." his tail tip flicked as a signal for his warriors to get ready. Energy sparked through the golden toms body, adrenaline flowing through his veins. A battle was on the wind. Lionclaw had tried to hold back the beast inside but he could feel the eagerness of battle from hid own side. They were eager to show the clans that they were still strong."so, what will it be? " his muscles rippled under his thick golden coat, long thick claws sliding out to scrape the ground. His battle senses were tightened. He kept his eyes on Yellowivy, she would be his target if a fight broke out. Diplomacy had failed, it had been simple. But life wasn't simple in the forest.

Hiddenleaf had kept quiet long enough. It was not her place to speak out, as Lionclaw was the leader of this patrol, but she had had enough of this. Were they seasoned warriors, or battlehungry apprentices, hoping for bloodshed? Coming into this situation, Lionclaw was calm and collected, but now she felt that he was set out on violence. Or, at least, more violence than there had already been. Even Spottedpaw had spoken out against her own mentor, which was risky, but the little she-cat sounded wiser than her age. Of course Emberstrike was ready to fight, he was a new warrior, eager to show Windclan what Thunderclan could do. The black and white she-cat stood up from where she sat, walking over to Lionclaw. She spoke, quiet enough so the other Windclan cats didn't hear, but there was ice in her words. "Lionclaw, this is wrong. Mistakes happen, and yes, Mintfeather deserves some punishment for crossing the border, it is against the warrior code. But this accident doesn't need to end in bloodshed. We're already having enough trouble with Shadowclan. Would you like to be at war with two clans? Because I'm certain Stormstar won't take kindly to this. This is unnecessary. Howlingstar has already had enough stress with Shadowclan, how well do you think he's going to take us bringing back a Windclan hostage, over a border squabble?!" She hissed, quite unlike her. "This alone is going to spread word through Windclan, and may or may not end up in violence later on. I think we have done enough here, and I'm sure that Mintfeather has learned her lesson. This is a lot of fuss over one rabbit." The black and white she-cat growled softly. "It's not my place to make the decisions, as you are the patrol leader, and I will listen to whatever you tell me to do. Mintfeather is already hurt enough as it is, and Yellowivy is willing to let this end peacefully. I hope that you choose what's right." Hiddenleaf finished, walking away from Lionclaw with a flick of her tail, taking place beside her clanmates. Her green eyes were aflame as she stood beside Spottedpaw and Emberstrike, waiting on Lionclaw's words. Whatever decision he made, she would go along with it, regardless of how she felt. She was still a Thunderclan warrior, no matter what, she reminded herself as she unsheathed her claws.
Words;; 388~! Notes;; Hiddenleaf likes to speak what's on her mind, and this is a big step for her, because she hates to go against authority. >:3 Anyways, sorry for the long wait of this, Night has been busy. ^w^ Regardless of the outcome of this, I wanted Hiddenleaf to voice her opinion, cause it's unlike her to hold her tongue. :3 Tagged;; Lionclaw, Spottedpaw, Emberstrike, Mintfeather, and the rest of the WC patrol~ Muse;; Excellent!

Yellowivy looked at all that was going on around her. She nodded at Leopardheart for returning to their side of the boarder but Yellowivy knew that they would all be on Thuderclan territory soon. She would have to fight for Mintfeather and she knew that Stormstar would not be happy with this or Thunderclan. She wondered how Howlingstar will do with two clans fighting against him. She knew that Windclan wouldn't attack but the fact that Thunderclan wouldn't just let this go she knew that their leader wouldn't let this go unnoticed with leafbare right around the corner. Thunderclan would pay for their foolish warriors actions. She knew that her warriors got her message with her body language because she could feel Cloudfang's wrath behind her and she could feel the energy coming off of Leopardheart. They were ready to fight and Mintfeather would have to be as well. She would of course have to deal with Lionclaw. She could see his muscles rippling from here. But she was a deputy after all and she had a couple of battles under her belt unlike this new warrior. He would be considerably slow and of course that gave Yellowivy an advantage over him but she knew that he wouldn't go down that easily.
Thats when the Emberstrike spoke in a threat towards her. She narrowed her eyes and now her claws shot out. She was sick of this clearly these big headed large toms had brains about as small as a beatle because they were thinking with their claws and not their heads. Young warriors thought they knew everything and were all high and mighty because they were a warrior. Yellowivy growled in her mind with disgust. She flick her plume tabby tail and growled at the Thunderclan warriors. Lionclaw was making this blood seem like it was Windclan's claws but it was all Thunderclan's. She noticed that Lionclaw's eyes were trained on her and his claws were out and she smirked at him. She hated a fight over something simple but these Thunderclan warriors needed to learn that thinking with their claws was not the right thing to do.
"The blood spilled here today Lionclaw is on your paws. You had an easy way out and you decided when your clan was already recovering from a battle with Shadowclan to start another war with Windclan. Now you will have two clans attack instead of one." Yellowivy didn't hesitate not giving them a moment to take in her words with truth behind them. Windclan would hear about the foolishness of Thunderclan warriors and though Mintfeather had broken the warrior code. It was a mistake and she would still be punished for her actions that was forsure. She was moving at top speed within moments. Darting straight towards Lionclaw at the last moment she dung her claws into the ground and slid slightly to the right and with claws fully extended she brought them down towards Lionclaw's back leg. She needed to weaken his base first before finishing him off.
