Lionclaw breathed in the scent of the forest as he lead a patrol. He felt energy flowing through his paws at the honor of leading his first morning patrol. His gaze was extra alert for anything around him that could be dangerous. "Ok, Howlingstar doesn't want us going to the Shadowclan border yet. He wants to check it out himself so we are gonna head the other way towards Windclan and reestablish the border. I know tensions are high right now with the whole Shadowclan thing but let's keep a cool head." he nodded to his fellow clan mates and smiled at his apprentice. Turning around he continued his measured pace through the forest. The smell of leaf fall hitting his nose and a cool breeze flowing through his fur. The cold season was soon upon them. While he was trying to remain calm he shared the same burning desire to take back their territory before winter.
He heard a sound of a vole and stopped. His ears swiveling to locate it. "Since we haven't ate this morning go ahead and grab a bit of prey. We can also grab some for the clan on the way back around. Leaf fall being on us I'm sure we will all love a bit more fresh kill." he sat down and looked at Spottedpaw and flicked his tail towards the sound of prey. He wanted to see how her hunting skills were coming along. They had only been at this for half a moon but Lionclaw had great faith and pride in his apprentice. She was smart and brave, learned quick and had a good focus. Her fighting skills left some desire but she was pretty good for the time.
His gaze turned further down to the border they shared with Windclan. He felt a bit of apprehension that among his group was the new warrior Emberstrike and Howlingstars kit. He was more worried about something bad happening to the young warrior. He looked over at the super fluffy tom, watching him for a long moment then turned to the other cats among his patrol. Staying silent as he left them to quickly grab a bite or wait with him for the others.

Yellowivy flicked her plumed tail back and forth. She was getting impatient. Looking up at the sky she notice the position of the sun and growled slightly. She didn't know where the two warriors were that she picked to do this border patrol with were. But they had better get there soon. It was a sunny greenleaf day out and the sun seemed to soak into her brown long fur. Her pale green eyes flicked around camp looking for the two warriors. One was Leapordheart, he was quite the large tom. Some would say he's quite handsome, but Yellowivy didn't have time to think to herself who was handsome in the clan. She just then thought of the other warrior Mintfeather, the she-cat was only slightly taller than Yellowivy herself and had a beautiful white pelt that stood out compared to most of the other Windclan warriors. But she felt like she had picked two good warriors for this patrol. They were going to the Thunderclan border. It had to be checked and remarked. There were rumors earlier that Thunderclan and Shadowclan had a battle. Shadowclan had won. The deputy had found out at the gathering. But she knew that Thunderclan would be on their toes now making sure that Windclan didn't cross the border. Which was true if anyone in Windclan was crossing the border they would be getting an earful from Yellowivy. She hated others that broke the rules, they were straight forward and simple. She just couldn't understand why others didn't get that.
The deputy then waited for the two warriors to come. As soon as they were present before her she just said, "Let's go." Thats when the tabby she-cat flicked her feathery tail and padded out into the rolling hills of Windclan territory. The breeze tugged at her long fur as she move along, she didn't worry much about the speed she was going at because it was quite a distance to the Thunderclan boarder. About half-way there Yellowivy slowed down her pace. So she would be able to talk with the two warriors. Glancing over her shoulder she just said her voice serious, "We are headed to the Thunderclan border, it needs to be remarked. But I want you to to keep a look out for Thunderclan warriors because they will probably over protective due to their recent territory loss."
Then she continued on towards the border.

L E O P A R D H E A R T The large tom moved with a calm grace, is spotted pelt shining in the green leaf sun. All had been peaceful in Windclan since he was made an apprentice, part of him itched for a battle but he knew the consequences that can come of a fight. He had been chosen for a patrol along the Thunderclan border, Leopardheart had been excited when Yellowivy invited him along with herself and Mintfeather since he had mostly been assigned to hunting patrol due to his speed and efficiency in catching the rabbits that sprinted across the open area. His paws touched the ground in silence with his tail flicking gently and slowly expressing his calm mood. Although Leopardheart hadn't been there for the announcements at the last gathering he still managed to catch wind of the battle between Shadowclan and Thunderclan that ended with the loss of Icestar for Shadowclan and the loss of territory for Thunderclan - he certainly didn't envy either clan for their situations. The large tom knew more battles would soon follow these events as they always did in the stories told to him by the elders and senior warriors.
Leopardheart padded quietly toward Yellowivy with his head held proudly, when Mintfeather joined the pair Leopardheart dipped his head in a respectful greeting to the pair before rising to his paws as Yellowivy announced they were departing. He moved quietly behind the deputy listening to the instructions for their patrol with a nod of his head when she finished. Tensions would certainly be high - one paw out of line could easily start problems for Windclan, but with the two warriors who were bother older than the newly made warrior Leopardheart felt confident in their safety and that there would be no battle on this day. "Part of me feels bad for Thunderclan, loosing territory is never easy especially with leaf-bare on it's way." he mewed softly, Leopardheart was sympathetic toward other clans believing there could be peace among the four clans at some point making him reluctant to be happy about Thunderclan and Shadowclans losses, which some cats would see as a new weakness, perfect for the time of attack. Leopardheart could only pray to Starclan that no fights would involve Windclan. His tail twitched slightly at his troublesome thoughts as he padded silently with his amber eyes focused on the soft ground under paw.

The snow bengal she-cat came up to her clanmates at a fast pace. She was breathing a little hard and looking somewhat somber before she smiled apologetically to the other two warriors. "Sorry for being late." She mewed, pale green eyes glancing between Yellowivy and Leopardheart, and her fur burning. She had wanted to speak with Thistleclaw before they left, so she had been looking for him in camp, but found out that he was out on a hunting patrol. Mintfeather had been crestfallen, but since she was needed for a patrol herself, it couldn't be helped. So, the young warrior had trotted quickly on silent paws to get to where the others were waiting. Mintfeather sighed, but smiled at Leopardheart when she came upon them along with nodding to Yellowivy. The instant she had gotten there, the deputy had told them they were leaving. The small silvery white she-cat followed behind the other two at the same pace. She noticed which way they were going and her thoughts were confirmed when about halfway to their destination, Yellowivy slowed. The tabby she-cat told them what they were to do and Mintfeather nodded to show she understood. Looking toward the border Windclan shared with Thunderclan, Mintfeather felt sympathy for the other clans. It must be hard for both of them. Both sides lost cats, Thunderclan lost territory with Leafbare coming up fast, and Shadowclan lost their leader. Even with that sympathy toward the other clans, she was glad it hadn't been Windclan. So far, they were still getting enough prey, they hadn't lost any territory or cats lately, so they were probably pretty well off compared to the other two clans. Mintfeather hadn't of heard anything bad about Riverclan lately, so she figured they were doing as well as her clan. Mintfeather heard rapid pawstep behind them, the sound of someone running quickly, and she stopped to turn and look back. The patrol was upwind right now so their scent was being sent to the cat behind them, so Mintfeather couldn't figure out who it was until they came into view. A silver and white tom was running toward them, but he started to slow as he got closer. His long fur was slicked back and his sky blue eyes looked them over. He was breathing hard but started to settle back into a normal rhythm once he caught up to them. "Stormstar told me he wanted me to join you on patrol. I think he's a bit worried about how jumpy Thunderclan might be." Cloudfang said. He shook out his fur a little and smiled at his sister, who smiled back. He looked at his deputy and dipped his head respectively. "If you don't mind me joining, Yellowivy."Words || 468 Ooc || I hope it's okay. =) Figured I would even the patrols out. (This takes place recently after Emberstrike's warrior ceremony) Emberstrike padded through the forest with excitement filling his heart. It was his first border patrol as a warrior, and even better, he was in a patrol lead by his friend Lionclaw, who was only a couple moons older than him and had trained together with him when they were both apprentices. Emberstrike saw the golden warrior like an older brother as well as a friendly rival. They both looked up to his father, and he would often say that he was going to be the first to grow as big as Father. The two young gigantic warriors were perfectly matched in height, and both had only a whisker length of height between themselves and their leader. Lionclaw was slightly more muscular than Emberstrike, but it was difficult to tell from a third point perspective because of Emberstrike's long, thick, fluffy bring orange pelt.
He trotted through the forest right behind Lionclaw. It was also his big brother's first time leading his own border patrol, which was a great honor, and Emberstrike was happy for him too. Emberstrike was basically an adult tom now, though still very young. He looked like a slightly smaller, ginger Howlingstar, though with the more rounded, softer expression of his mother who passed away many moons ago. But he had the large pointed ears, the fierce amber eyes, the broad head and massive chest of Howlingstar. His still lean paws and legs showed that he had more development to go before he would be done growing, and then maybe, as he hoped with all his heart, he would be as big as Howlingstar.
The air was cooler than it was a couple days ago, and Emberstrike knew that Leaffall was upon them, though Emberstrike's fluffy pelt easily kept him warm. Emberstrike nodded to Lionclaw when he suggested they hunt a bit. "Yes, Lionclaw." he eagerly meowed, his amber eyes shining with excitement. He turned and trotted away on silent paws, his mouth open and ears pricked for the scents and sounds of prey. It didn't take long at all before Emberstrike discovered a mouse scratching at the mulch, working on a burrow in preparation for leafbare. Emberstrike expertly dropped into the hunter's crouch, taking care that his big, heavy paws made no sound or even a single vibration on the forest floor. With a strike almost as silent as his stalk, except for the leaves and dry grass that crunched underneath him, he easily snagged the mouse and closed his jaws around its spine for a quick kill.
Emberstrike did as the patrol leader had given him permission to do, and nibbled on his catch until there was nothing left, which only took him a few moments. He licked the blood and juices from his lips with a satisfied sigh, wiped his white muzzle on a nearby rock, and trotted back to where he had left Lionclaw.

S P O T T E D P A W The small she-cat padded silently along side the warriors, her paws itching with excitement at the thought of her mentor leading the patrol. She felt as though Thunderclan would take their territory back soon and finally order with be restored and all the clans would know that Thunderclan were no clan to start trouble with. She moved with a proud grace - her head held high, legs moving with strides as long as he could, a long tail held curled at the top showing her good mood and a cheerful expression on her face. The familiar smell of the forest entwined with fresh prey that scurried among their territory was comforting as she moved silently threw the forest on soft grass with two cats who seemed to tower over her making her feel as small as a mouse in leaf bare, with Greenleaf coming to an end the trees kept their lush leaves and berries with few leaves floating gently with the wind until they hit the ground making the arrival of the coming Leaf Fall known to all clans.
Her ears perked at her mentors words, her large eyes shining with pride as she looked up at the massive warrior the soft rumble in her stomach making her aware of her hunger. She turned with a quick purr of acknowledgment at his words before bounding off silently into the large bushes to catch her prey. Muscles rippled under the dappled pelt as she moved slowly in a low catch, tail held straight behind her resisting the urge to twitch it as she usually would whilst trying to keep her focus on the soft rustle of leaves and tantalizing scent that trailed after it. Small ears perked as her jaw opened breathing in the comforting smell of the forest and mouse that she had been tracking, she moved silently through the leaves - careful not to step on the fallen twigs and to keep her perfect form before she caught sight of the grey toned rodent running frantically across the forest floor, she crawled forward with her chest pushed so close to the ground she could feel the light tickle of the grass against her as she moved with light paws conscious that the mouse would sooner hear her than it would see her, the calm instructions usually given to her by her mentor echoed in her mind as she watched through green eyes as the mouse paused. "Perfect." she thought before springing forward with extended fore legs, her paws catching the mouse by surprise as they dug into the flesh with perfect strength before dropping her head and snapping where the spine met the skull not allowing it to scream out in terror. She sat back with a purr looking at the plump creature lying limp at her paws, "Thank you for giving your life so that I may live." she purred softly before picking the plump mouse in her jaws walking back to her mentor.
She hadn't realised she had gone so deep into the forest until she padded back to her mentor seeing Emberstrike had already returned, looking at them from a distance she registered how alike they were. Emberstrike had only just become a warrior which made the apprentice den too spacious for Spottedpaw, missing the large toms limbs sprawled out making it difficult to leave the den. Standing beside Lionclaw he looked as though he had been a warrior for moons with his large muscular size equal to her mentors, the two looked like brothers and acted like brothers with their competitive nature. Padding back, dipping her head in a greeting before dropping her mouse at her paws lying down with her large fluffly paws holding the prey gently as she tore into it quietly a deep purr rumbling in her chest at the warmth of the meat with a taste she wanted to keep in her jaws for moons. Spottedpaw knew she wouldn't have such luxuries in moons to come when the prey begins to go into hiding against the snow and harsh weather that Leaf Bare brought. Finishing the plump mouse, pushing the thoughts of cold weather away from her mind and enjoying the warmth that slipped through the leaves that towered over head as she stood up grasping the carcass and moving away from the other cats, digging up a small hole before dropping the remains in kindly as though it were a creature that was still alive. She covered the mouse quickly so she could rejoin her mentor and Emberstrike with a chirpy purr as her greeting. "All done her Lionclaw, ready to go make sure those rabbit loving cats haven't crossed our border!" she mewed excitedly flexing her claws moving the earth slowly under her soft paws as if she were thinking of starting a battle. "I'll tear their fur off if they dare cross it, we won't loose any more territory with our warriors!" Nobody could deny Spottedpaws loyalty to her clan, but she was easily excited at the thought of battle and would happily fight at any moment in time. "No clan has a chance against us." she mewed meeting her mentors bright eyes with a confident stare, her dappled tail twitching with obvious excitement for the coming patrol. Her ears twitched as she turned her strong gaze to the depths of the forest in the direction of the border, excited to get going to make sure the borders were respected. With the Twoleg place in Shadowclans grasp Spottedpaw felt as though she needed to help the clan stay strong and protect the territory so they wouldn't loose any more to any other mouse brained cats who think they can get the jump on Thunderclan.

Post by Hiddenleaf on Sept 22, 2015 12:09:30 GMT -5
Hiddenleaf padded proudly through the forest, closely following her clanmates. Thunderclan's territory was beautiful, as usual. The she-cat felt a purr rise in her throat as she gazed out at the large trees and plentiful foliage. She had always been proud to call Thunderclan her home. Looking around her clanmates, her green gaze watched Lionclaw lead the patrol, energy practically flowing off of him. Hiddenleaf knew that he was excited to be leading the patrol. A small sting of envy coursed through the black and white she-cat. Perhaps she would be able to lead patrols some day. It was a dream of hers to become leader someday. She had to be more responsible. Shaking the envy off like a bug stuck in her fur, Hiddenleaf narrowed her eyes. She didn't want to be jealous of the tom, Lionclaw was a very good warrior. She respected him. In fact, he had been kind enough to allow her on the patrol instead of having to go hunting. Every cat in the clan knew that the she wasn't very good at hunting, but she did try her hardest. If she was as good at hunting as she was fighting, well that would just be unfair. Every cat had their flaws, and hers just happened to be hunting. She, just like her clanmates, was just as angry at Shadowclan for taking their territory. The thought of it made her want to shred something. Despite their hard fight, Shadowclan had the element of surprise.
Hiddenleaf stopped abruptly as Lionclaw halted the patrol, her thoughts snapping back to reality. At the tom's mention of no one eating yet this morning, the she-cat then realized that she was rather hungry. She certainly couldn't work to her limits on an empty stomach. Taking up the tom's offer, Hiddenleaf stalked in between a close cluster of trees. Her large ears caught the sounds of scuttling, and she looked up to the branches of a tree to see a couple of young squirrels working to gather food. They would come down to the forest floor, grab something, and return back up to the branches, and repeat. The she-cat slunk down as low to the ground as she could, partially hiding in a bush to prevent the squirrels from seeing her fur. The last squirrel that came down spent a little longer on the floor than the others, and Hiddenleaf took the opportunity. She launched herself at the small creature, and with a loud squeak it ran back to the tree and tried to climb it. Unfortunately for her prey, the she-cat was faster than it was. Long legs propelled the she-cat forward, her sheer speed soon catching up to the squirrel. As it climbed the tree, so did she. Eventually she was close enough to grab it, and grabbed its large fluffy tail with her teeth. The creature screeched in protest, and the she-cat quickly jumped back down to the forest floor and snapped the creature's neck with her powerful jaws. The other squirrels chattered at her from above, but Hiddenleaf ignored them, gazing at her catch proudly. How long had it been since she had successfully caught a piece of prey? Picking up the now-limp body, she trotted back to where her clanmates were, settling down to eat her prey, her leaf green eyes glowing with satisfaction.
After she was finished, Hiddenleaf buried the squirrels carcass and returned to Lionclaw, smiling at the tom. The she-cat chuckled at Spottedpaw's cheery mews. "Rabbit isn't so bad, I happen to like it." She teased the apprentice, purring softly.

Lionclaw slipped away himself as his patrol slipped off to hunt. Moving along the path he spotted a plump mouse nibbling on a seed. Since taking an apprentice his own hunting skills didn't suck so much. Slipping down into the hunter crouch he moved quickly and without a sound leaped on and killed his prey without a sound. Standing up he lifted his head and said a silent prayer to starclan. Picking up the mouse he walked back to his former place and sat down. Slowly ripping his mouse meat off the bone and swallowed. Looking up at Emberstrike who was the first to arrive back. He smiled at his friend and little brother. "Good catch. You have really come along Emberstrike. When we get back I'll ask Howlingstar about you leading your own patrol."
His gaze lifted and looked at his apprentice with a large smile. Pride in his eyes at the she cat. "Great catch little one. Before long you will be the best hunter in the clan." he flicked her playfully with his tail then turned his eyes to the last of his patrol. "Hiddenleaf is right, rabbit is delicious and juicy. Plus it's the best." a slight longing filled his voice. It was well known the golden warrior loved rabbit. "So, now everyone has eaten let's get back to the patrol." with one large paw he dug a hole and slid the bones in. Nodding to his cats he slipped back down the path. His senses alert as the Windclan border came into view. "Spottedpaw, I want you to mark the territory little one." He smiled at her then flicked his tail at Emberstrike. "You can mark the next one."

Yellowivy just stopped moving towards the border. Her ear swiveled back as she heard an approaching cat. She just looked back at Mintfeather and Leopardheart. Mintfeather had already stopped and was looking behind her. Yellowivy just narrowed her pale green eyes as she watched another white form sprinting towards them. She knew the other white pelt as Cloudfang, Mintfeather's brother. She watched as the white tom came up next to his sister. His blue eyes stood out against his pelt and she took a step towards him. Her long tabby fur getting ruffled by the breeze she was about to ask the tom what he was doing here. But he seemed to answer before she got the words out of her mouth. It seemed that Stormstar wanted to be extra careful. Which was fine in Yellowivy's mind. But she orginally had only picked three warriors so they didn't look like a threat. But the tom had already run quite a long ways to get to where they were. She just narrowed her eyes and thought about more what the tom said, it was true that Stormstar had a point. And well she hadn't been deputy that long. Yellowivy was just appointed because Swiftspirit disappeared entirely. She didn't know what happened to the tom but his apprentice Sandpaw was a pawfull. She was just happy that Stormstar didn't make her take on the large ginger apprentice.
Yellowivy then watched as the white warrior dipped his head to her. She just raised her chin up to look the larger cat in the eye. Her pale green ones were serious, she just said a bit sarcastically "Nah I'm just going to make you run all the way back to camp." Then she just turn around and flicked her tail to him and the rest of the warriors with her. "Come on. I would like to get back before the Silverpelt appears above us." Then the tabby headed to the border her pace set a bit slower. She just then approached the border the trees of Thunderclan growing larger as she approached them. There were some trees on the Windclan side which was good for hunting at leafbare. But the she-cat tasted the air. There wasn't any sign of a Thunderclan patrol she just then flicked her tail and said, "Alright, Cloudfang come with me. Mintfeather, you and Leopardheart head over in that direction" She flicked her tail to the left of them towards the border, "Mark the border, but be on the watch for Thunderclan. Make sure you stay on our side of the border. We don't want to be picking a fight today." Then she looked at her warrior and nodded to them before heading down to the right. Calling over her shoulder, "If you have trouble with Thunderclan make sure you call out to us. Also try to be quick."
Then the tabby she-cat headed towards the border her pale green eyes focused on the task ahead of her. She just said to herself, Starclan, please let this go smoothly. She just then slowed down as she got closer to the border, her pale green eyes scanned the trees for Thunderclan cats and when she noticed that there probably wasn't any she padded up to the border her whiskers not even crossing the line.

L E O P A R D H E A R T The large tom watched with kind eyes as Mintfeather approached, dipping her head in a greeting before he turning moving a few pawsteps behind Yellowivy with quiet steps. He knew where they were headed, and he wasn't hugely happy about it. Thunderclan were hostile with the loss of territory and even if Windclan didn't cross the border there would surely be a few harsh words that would attempt to antagonise the cats, the clan seemed eager for a battle and he couldn't blame them. No clan ever wanted to lose territory, Leopardheart was just pleased that it wasn't Windclan territory that was lost. His ears swiveled back at the sound of paw steps coming toward them and he turned noticing Mintfeather had also heard it though both of them seemed to struggle in figuring out who was coming their way. The pure white figure emerged from the distance with strikingly pigmented eyes, Cloudfang had joined the patrol. "Hey there, Cloudfang." he mewed kindly after the tom and the deputy had spoken, before turning around and walking closer to the border.
"Mintfeather, you and Leopardheart head over in that direction", ears perked at the sound of his name turning his head to the left of the border before nodding in agreement. "We'll be back in a few shakes." the large tom moved calmly over to the border warily casting glances over at the Thunderclan territory, the breeze brought Thunderclan scent along with it and it was almost guaranteed a patrol was heading their way. "Thunderclan cats aren't too far from here, I think." his voice was low and quiet so only Mintfeather could hear as they marked the border. With long legs planted further on the ground with his angular head raised and jaw hung open slightly, scenting the air for anything other than Thunderclan. Rabbit. His eyes opened quickly, walking over to Mintfeather cheerfully with his mind drawn away from all thoughts of Thunderclan. "Theres rabbit nearby, I don't think Yellowivy would mind us returning with prey for the clan." he mewed flicking his tail in direction of the rustling leaves, "Do you want to take it, or will I?"
